Peace Be With You

Hello!  ¡Hola!  It's been a busy day and it's late, so I'll keep it brief.

For my first project, I have a postcard I made inspired by Sunday Postcard Art's theme, Tiger, which was chosen by Anne.  I drew the tiger face and did the hand lettering on a Kraft postcard, using Funcils black and white Oil Markers.  I used an orange Mont Marte Real Brush Pen to color the eye.  I painted the orange background with a Faber-Castell Gelato and Talens Opaque Watercolours.  I am also submitting this to Inkspirational Challenge #368 - For the Guys and Friday Face Off 5/29/26.

For my second project, I have a birthday card I made for my wife whose birthday is next month.  I was inspired by Spain, as we love to travel, and that was one of our favorite trips.  Hence, I designed a flamenco look for Minnie Mouse.  I used the Spellbinders Classic Mouse Wedding and Alex Syberia Kokeshi Dolls die sets; some white flower embellishments that I'd forgotten I had; a Martha Stewart banner; various colors and pattern scraps; red and black pens; and various kinds of adhesives.  I am submitting this to AAA Card Game #315 Sketch Challenge, Try It On Tuesday Going Round in Circles, and Neglected Stuff Challenge May 2026.

For my third project, I have a card I made for my Father-in-law, who's a major Texas A&M fan.  Alumi are called Aggies, and he was in the military core, back when the University was just for men.  Using the Freshly Made Sketches #738 by Cécile, I created my own background using Talents Opaque Watercolours; a maroon Prismacolor colored pencil; and a Copic Broad Nib Inking pen for the lines.  I used an Arteza Calligraphy pen for the sentiment.  For the focal point, I used a Globeland Baseball Hat die cut.  I am also submitting this to Little Red Wagon Challenge #860 - Create Your Own Background and Double D Challenge- Splatter.

Last, but not least, I have a new photo of my church, featuring this week's scripture from Word Art Wednesday Weeks #754-755.  I am also submitting this to What's On Your Workdesdk? Wednesday 886/106 and Mosaic Monday No. 190.  And in closing, I leave you with a passage from my sermon for the Day of Pentecost, on May 24, based on John 20:19-23, where Jesus offers the disciples peace, before and after he shows them his crucifixion wounds:

The peace Jesus offers changes hearts.  It is loving, liberating, and life giving.  It sends people into the world.  It will be found next to our wounds.  The peace Jesus offers is a wounded peace.

Thank you for your visit.  ¡Gracias por su visita!  Please leave a comment, so we can get to know each other, and I'll reciprocate.

Shalom,
Arnoldo+

Your church is really beautiful Arnoldo. I love the traditional Adobe style buildings. They look like they just sprang up from the earth like flowers do. And you created some great art this week. I like it all. Thanks especially for linking up Miss Flamenco Minnie to Try It on Tuesday. Have a super Friday and weekend ahead. hugs-Erika

Boa tarde Reverendo Arnold.
You're so talented. I like the tiger and Mini Mouse art. Thank you for your ending about the Pentecost Sermon. I wrote about Pentecost here: https://thechristianlounge4u.blogspot.com/2026/05/pentecost-what-is-it.html

God bless you and thanx.

I'm really impressed with how many challenges you enter. Love the card you made for your wife's birthday, but they are all clever. Happy belated FFO.

There's nothing quite like a homemade card, even though Hallmark might disagree. Your sare even more special because you tailor them to the recipients special interests and/or likes. Thanks for sharing Arnoldo.
I only done a few post cards. My son gave me pack of blank ones. When I saw the tiger. First thing came to my mind is the eye of the tiger.
Your art is always so creative and unique. Thank you so much for your fellowship and for sharing your wonderful art with us at Word Art Wednesday. have a blessed and creative week, my friend.

A post full of wonderful creations! I love the background you created for your FILʻs card. Your hand lettering is beautiful. I lived in Houson for 21 years and know full well how those Aggies love and support their school. I have to say your church is so beautiful, how fortunate to have such a place to worship. Thanks so much for joining us at Little Red Wagon Challenge! Hope to see you back again soon!
