My Summer Plans

Summer is here, and I couldn't be happier!  I plan to take time to create, smell the roses, and be on the road.  The latter should allow me to recharge, so that I may undertake all the tasks the Lord sets for me during the Fall.

Time to Create
Mixed Media & Hand Lettering
Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014 - June
Rhedd and Rosie Challenge Blog - Back in Time
Word Art Wednesday - Challenge #136
Rather it's drawing, painting, decorating, working on paper crafts, or any other artsy activity, this Summer I plan to work on something creative every single day.  Today, I worked on the tag above, in which I lettered my affirmation for the Summer.  It felt so good to play with colors, textures, and lines!  Next on my list is finishing a painting of Father Joseph and Jesus which I started last Summer.  It sounds like an appropriate piece to work on, considering Father's Day is this coming weekend!

Smell the Roses
Marker Doodled Rose
Tag Tuesday - Roses
Eva & Kristin's Paint Party Friday - Week 14 Year 4
Manon's Paper Saturdays
Alexandra's Sunday Sketches
Ramona's Inspire Me Monday #128
I also plan to spend more time with family, read, and exercise on a daily basis.  I got to visit with a lot of family during the weekend, as we celebrated my wife's birthday and my youngest daughter's high school graduation.  It was exhausting, but we had a lot of fun and made great memories too.  I also got to catch-up on a couple of books, walk, and take some laps in our swimming pool during the last couple of days.  I hope I can keep it up, since it was both relaxing and re-energizing!

Aggies Flying Victorious
Bella's 52 Photos Project - {Busy Street}
Denise, Roger & Leslie's ABC Wednesday - V is for Vehicle's Velocity & the Victorious Aggies
Jen's In the Studio
Finally, I plan to be on the road around the great state of Texas.  During July, my family and I will be driving to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Area to visit my mother.  We will also be driving to the airport to greet my oldest daughter, who will be flying in from Barcelona, Spain.  After that, we'll be driving to College Station, to move my youngest daughter, who will be joining her older sister at Texas A&M University.  It is bound to be bitter-sweet, since we're VERY proud of them, but we'll become empty nesters.

Well, that brings me to the end of my Summer plans.  I want to thank everyone who took the time to leave a comment on my last post, as well as greet all my faithful followers.  Here's to a blessed Summer!

Hi Arnoldo, I'm loving your version of the June 12 tags for 2014, I'm too a huge fan of his lordship TH lol! And I'm keeping on track with the tags, I made a promise at the beginning of the year to do every months, and so far so good.
Thank you so much for sharing your super version with us at Rhedd and Rosie's, good luck, Zoe DT xx
A busy summer. I understand that empty nester thing. Has it's good side as well as a down side. But you make do with however it shakes! And smile for them.

Aaaahhh, summer! And I love those big red hibiscus flowers. Sadly here we can only have the potted ones. It gets too cold in winter. Happy PPF!

Let me start by saying, you're going to have a busy summer. Your affirmation tag is beautiful, but most I like your ideas of using your art in every day life. That tiny little rose is just adorable, again I admire your ideas of how to use your art. Very inspiring.
Thanks for sharing.

You always inspire me Arnoldo. You are so positive and happy and very busy by the sounds of it. I'm sure it will be very sad for you to see your last daughter leave home but such a proud time too and at least the two sisters will be together. Your tag is beautiful, have a wonderful summer. I am rugging up from the cold as it's winter here now.

Sounds like you're making some great plans for summer. It's always good to be creative every day, sadly though we often don't take enough time for it or life gets in the way. Your tag is looking beautiful and summer-y ....

Hello Arnoldo, I haven't been here for a while and that's my loss. Your plans for the summer sound fantastic with lots of time for yourself and family and art-making, a great idea.
I really love your butterfly tag, so cheerful and colourful and artistic and with a good word, "Create".
Thanks for your very nice comment on my blog and "see" you again soon.
