B is for Blissful
It is hard to believe, but my wife and I are celebrating our Twenty-Fifth Wedding Anniversary… time flies! Although it has been a blissful experience filled with a plethora of blessings, we've had our share of trials. Throughout the years, we've also been honored and humbled when people say we are good role models.

I don't know if we are truly good "role models." However, we do live by the words found in Joshua 24:15, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." His heavenly grace has taught us how to deal with our inequities, and His heavenly power provides us with a stronghold during times of tribulation.

Secondly, we thrive in having open lines of communication, honesty, and respect for each other. For example, we serve as sounding boards for each other when issues come up at work; we don't keep secrets about our children or spending habits; and we cherish each others passions, like the time I spend in my art studio.

Last, but not least, we value the time that we spend with each other. Rather it is time spent with our friends and family, devotional time, or simply going antiquing at a local thrift store, we have fun! These are the special moments that we treasure and provide uplifting conversational themes during our low times.
Therefore, although I'm not sure we are good "role models," I can certainty say that the 25 years I've spent with my wife have been truly blissful… thank you Lord! I also want to thank all my followers, as well as everyone that takes the time to leave such thoughtful comments. May you be blessed with blissfulness!

Congrats on 25 years, and continue to enjoy the time together in the coming years! Beautiful art, as always! Regards, Valerie

Congratulations on your 25th wedding anniversary! Your exploding card is truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYes, those are sound principles for a good marriage. My husband and I were married in 1992, so we will celebrate our 25th next year and we live by more or less the same principles. Certainly Joshua 24:15!
Have a good week,
Lisca
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your wedding anniversary! It's definitely an accomplishment in these times. Hubby and I celebrated ours a couple of years ago.
I love the card - it truly is beautiful

I think you have definitely been blessed with a good marriage and you show your gratitude by thanking God for all of it. It shows that you work at it, too. Oh what I would have given had my own marriage been more like yours - and others that I know. But my blessing from God is that I can recognize other blessings that He has given me and therefore, am able to be happy for the type of blessings others receive. If that makes any sense. LOL Happy 25th Anniversary, Arnoldo (and wife) and may you have many many more years of bliss.

Arnaldo, firstly, congratulations on your 25 years! That is seriously impressive. So glad to read you both are still very much in love.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, thank you for your interest in Creative Tuesdays! We'd love to have you join us every two weeks and having another guy for visiting would be great too. While your artwork is wonderful, this piece does NOT meet the requirements of the Creative Tuesdays theme so I'm wondering if you forgot to include your piece with a heart in it, etc? The guidelines page is a good resource (http://creativetuesdays.blogspot.com/p/guidelines-faqs.html) but also look at the post to see whatever the theme is (also in side bar). You need to mention it too. As such, to be fair to everyone else, I am afraid I have to take off your link up but please sing up again if/when you have a piece for Creative Tuesdays specifically (it can NOT be shared with other co-ops either). thank you! Nice to meet you and congrats again! I know Alex enjoys your blog very much.
P.S. Ok, I do see the heart in the flower now but as the guidelines states, it needs to be obvious and for Ct only. Thank you! Please come again.
ReplyDeletelovely tribute to your marriage. happy anniversary!

ReplyDeleteI love your "nothing is impossible with God" art, Arnoldo. And congratulations on your important anniversary. I remember we thought it was so important that we spent the weekend in Williamsburg at a fancy hotel. The 50th we spent in Asheville NC. The 55th we made a long trip to Utah and Colorado to visit family and to fly fish. The 56th we stayed home as my dh was then too ill to travel. May the Lord grant you many, many more years of happy marriage.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary - you ARE a good role model!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 25th wedding anniversary, Arnoldo - and many more happy ones to follow, I hope and pray! You certainly do sound like a role model couple! You can do no better than to trust in the Lord!! The explosion box is beautiful - full of gorgeous things. When we celebrated ours in 2011, I made my hubby a shadow box. So nice to have a memento of the special day! We went away for a few days to a beautiful hotel on the north coast of our county and my parents came with us - the last time we all went away together. This year it will be our 30th anniversary. How time flies.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like my knitting. You should get somebody to teach you - it's not difficult and you are a multi-talented person and shouldn't find it a problem! As for the water feature you should certainly make one in the place of the pool slide. You can get kits to make them - with a pump and a pipe, from garden centres etc. It just needs an external electricity supply.

Every good wish for a Happy Anniversary! What a clever creation your exploding box is. I also like the face this week too. I wish you and your wife another 25 years of happiness, blessings and fun. Whatever troubles may come our way Love helps us to weather them together. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, you've found the keys to a loong relationship. That is an absolutely lovely piece!
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious and heart-felt tribute to celebrate 25 years together. Life is full of highs and lows, good times and bad, trials and triumphs. But in a world that quits, it's so refreshing to have Christian friends who are committed to Him, and to our spouses. May He continue to pour out His goodness and love on your precious family. I am so very grateful for you.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Karen
