There are two that pop out at me in this post. your Velvet Mite & the way you've placed that photo beneath the toilet roll sculpture's background so as to enhance the red of the mite.......) Secondly the way you have turned a piece of ledger paper into a piece of artwork documenting the nature in your Backyard - the butterfly just glows.....
Hope you have a successful trip with the students.

Arnoldo...your post is wonderful! I think it's awesome that you're taking your 5th grade students on a overnight! You're a brave man! haha I love your Garden Cross and your In My Backyard art pieces. The colors and the sketching is lovely. Those little matchbox and stamp gift boxes are really cooll Love your designs and colors on those, too. Your toilet paper roll sculpture ... amazing. I've never seen anything like that! Can't wait to see the finished piece. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

You made some beautyful art. Love the butterfly a lot.
Thanks for sharing.

What I love most about your art, Arnoldo, is that it doesn't fit within "the box". Meaning, you are always pushing yourself to create new and innovative art that really speaks to me. I can always count on seeing something original and unique, and I just LOVE that! Thank you so much for sharing the talents God has given you and playing along with us. Your art is a blessing to me, and I always enjoy my visits to your blog.
May God bless you as you create and share.

Well Arnoldo, you have outdone yourself. The Garden Cross is spectacular. My Bleeding Heart is up about 10 inches high, however there is still snow in a few places. When I saw the heart and my favorite scripture it was just too much.
We appreciate and thank you, for taking time out your day to post this beautiful project at Word Art Wednesday,
Blessings,

Hi Arnoldo,
Enjoy your weekend getaway, sure you will be inspired by all the nature around you. I adore that velvet mite pic and the toilet paper roll....who would have thought? I must try it and I guess gesso...paint whatever grabs your fancy would work magic on these rolls....imagine a group of them , all different and unique, some with glitter flying across your studio .
Thanks for the inspiration, might try it sometime.

Take care,

I admire them all so much, you have such varied and wonderful ideas that it is hard to choose a favourite. I love the Backyard page and just wish such wonderful things would find their way to our garden - but then I remember all the wonder and beauty in what seems ordinary and simple. You are very inspiring. The toilet roll butterfly is also so clever.

What a fun trip in your spiritual garden! I am loving your dove out of the toilet paper roll! Can't wait to see how you will use it. I have never seen or heard of a velvet mite (he looks so soft like his name..) I have to look that up as I have no idea what he is (but cute!) Enjoy your weekend!!

Arnoldo, God has truly blessed you with incredible artistic talent. A sculpture out of a toilet paper roll???!!!! How creative is that!! I can't wait to see the finished piece. Thanks for the peek into your garden. Blessings!

I really love your garden cross and the drawings of things from your backyard (especially the feather). We have seen many hawks this season...makes me nervous about letting my smallest dachshund run around outside on her own. I'm not sure if a hawk could take her but I'm afraid one might since she's only about 11 pounds.

Just beautiful work this week - as always! Love that garden cross... :)

I like the Fly Away project. I would have never guessed it was made of toilet paper roll! Yet again, the toilet paper roll has a multitude of uses. I used it to make Christmas tree ornaments, I use it to prevent opened wrapping paper rolls from unrolling (the toilet paper roll holds them like a ring), kids make crafts of them, etc., etc.
