Love of Art

Family and nature are two of my primary sources of inspiration, but love is probably the greatest of all.  After all, God is Love, and I thrive to keep Him in the core of everything I do.  Nothing brings me more joy than creating for others and being able to bring a little beauty into their lives through my work.  The latter may be through my drawing, painting, paper crafting, designing or decorating.  Even as an educator, I use art to create a loving environment for my students to learn in bulletin boards and projects I plan for them to work on.

In closing, I want to thank everyone who left a comment during my last post, and cordially invite you to leave one on this post.  Please know that I always make it a point to reciprocate with a comment on your blog, as well as answer any questions you may have and/or clarify issues personally.  Your heartfelt words always encourage me to continue to create.  I also want to leave you with some words from the Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 13:13, "Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love."  Blessings!

PS - I "adopted" the painting in the last photograph from Penny Lee StewArt, AKA Crafty Lady, and one of my fellow artist team members at Paper, Paint, Pencils & Pens.  She loves to create and is very prolific, so last month she put up this gorgeous painting for adoption as a way to share her love of art.  I feel so blessed to have received it and will cherish it for years to come - Thank you, Penny!

All interesting pieces, I think the family montage with love clearly shining through is the outstanding imafe. But your tags and mother/child drawing are lovely. The bowls painting caught my eye straight away, you must be a proud owner. I too love Penny's work in our PPP&P group.

Your two Easter Tags with the bunnies are just a treat to see with the way your yellow thread for tying echoes the die-cut ribbon around each rabbit's neck. I particularly like the way you have made each tag very distinctive by changing the colours & layout slightly as well as with the personalising. The 'cracking' effect achieved by your stitching made me smile. I'm always touched by your efforts to make table settings, gifts & treat bags decorative & special for the people around you. Somehow you manage to bring a touch of beauty & delight across many miles with your blog posts.
Thank you.

PS - the place setting in your first collage of photos is absolutely exquisite with the little cross detail against the serviette which itself resembles a cross shape.

Your Easter decorations all look beautiful. The mother and daughter love is gorgeous, and I especially like that you held back on colors, that leaves the subject in focus and what could be prettier than these lovely smiling faces. Well done.
