J is for Journey

An artist's journey can lead to a jolt of energy that erupts into the creation of amazing pieces of art within you.  This eruption is a juxtaposition of everything you know, love and care for.  It's not always easy, but when the time and mood are right, it happens.

Try It On Tuesday: Pearls For Girls
Sometimes the jolt is like a game of Jeopardy, where you have to take a risk and use everything you know, believe and care for to stay on the game.  It's a creative, problem solving experience with much at stake.  However, if you risk it all and get it right, you can easily be the joyous champion.

Kate's Express Your Creativity - Week 12
The journey can sometimes lead you into a jam, or what's worst, lead you to a judgmental entity that doesn't understand or acknowledge your artistry.  This junction in the journey makes you feel like an old jalopy.  The best thing to do in these instances, is to lick your jabs and move on.

Although an artist's journey can run into dangerous jungles, these can also be very rejuvenating.  Hence I keep the Lord's words in Psalm 46:10 close to my heart, "Be still, and know that I am God."  May your artistic journey be a blessing!

Arnoldo, Ps. 46 is one of my absolute favourites! I love how you have depicted the letter "J" and your art work, as always, is stunning. Thank you for your very kind words and your continuing prayers, and the reminder from another lovely Psalm! I am feeling a lot better about the postponement now, but am looking forward to hearing when it will be because not having a date makes planning so difficult. I'd never thought of Sophie, my tortie, being bipolar! Maybe she was! She was definitely off her head, that's for sure - but I loved her to bits!

God bless you.
Shoshi
Hi Arnoldo, hope you are having a good week. Love you Tim tag for March. I am hoping to finish mine when I get home again.

Such a beautiful post! Your seamstress card is so lovely, I love the way you used the tape measure embossing folder as the background to the lovely dress. The psalm you listed is one I was sent by a friend when I lost my husband as it helped him when he lost his sister. I recite that to myself when I feel I need calm and to bring myself to remember what is important etc.

I recently started drawing and I'm always nervous when I start. Eventually the nerves are forgotten as I let go and let whatever flow. I'm often surprised where my journey took me. :-)

Love that scripture along with Let go and let god!!

It's a wonderful roller coaster ride but when you hit those perfect hills it's a joyful blast and worth every scary moment! There is nothing more emotionally rewarding then when your creativity comes together perfectly to your satisfaction. It's true bliss!!

Enjoy the creative adventure my friend!

Still, you've been making some fun and lovely art, so I'm glad to be here anyway. Maybe you will have a Worktable shot for us next Wednesday!

Love the bright colours of your tags with all the layered, collage effects.

This is very nice and loving the simple vintage feel. I am grateful that you joined us in our Challenge and we have a new one starting today. Please link with us again at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you an inspirational verse as spoken by Jesus to them that believe from John 14:21 and it says, "Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." A blessed week to you always.
