P is for Prayers for Peace

It's been almost a month since my last post, so please accept my apologies.  Between my fast and furious schedule at work this school year, in addition to several personal engagements, I have not had the energy to write a post.  It was so hectic during the past month, that I was only able to create the four projects in this post.

A&M vs Tennessee Tailgating With Family
Smash Book, Note Pads, & Tissue Tape; Hand Lettering & Doodles; Nikon D3300 Photographs; and Ephemera
Our Beautiful World OBW ~ 170 Comfort
Sue's Image-In-Ing
Alexandra's Sunday Sketches
However, I have been keeping up with the tragic state of our national election, as well as all the hatred and violence that's been contaminating our beautiful world.  It breaks my heart and makes me worry about the future of our children.  Therefore, today I want to share two prayers found in the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, from a series we are following at my church:

Happy Birthday, P!
Tim Holtz Ornate Frame Die #2, Poker Face Embossing Folder, Distress Ink Pad & Stickles; We R Memory Keepers Mini Alphabet Punch Board & Staple Board; Martha Stewart Border Punch; Pen; Glass Beads & Glue; Burlap; Cardstock; and Scrap Plastic.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Think Pink
Julia's What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #386
Karen's Word Art Wednesday #254-255
Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart and especially the hearts of the people of this land, that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Pumpkin Doodled Calendar Page
Marvy Markers and Pens
Denise, Roger & Leslie's ABC Wednesday P is for Pumpkin
Art Journal Journey - Autumn
Kristin & Eva's Paint Party Friday - Week 34 Year 6
Almighty God, you proclaim your truth in every age by many voices: Direct, in our time, we pray, those who speak where many listen and write what many read; that they may do their part in making the heart of this people wise, its mind sound, and its will righteous; to the honor of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Happy Halloween!
Tim Holtz Mini and Tiny Bat Magnetic Dies & Stickles; Scan 'n Cut 2; Assorted Paper Scraps; and American Crafts Gatefold Card Base
Ramona's Inspire Me Monday - Week 251
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Autumn
Moo-Mania: Halloween Party
May we achieve peace in our beautiful world, no matter where we live or what our believes may be.

I can relate to being busy. School in the fall can be all consuming. Loving what we have created. Your cards are great and love seeing the photos of your family on your journal page. Hope some of these time commitments are fun things.

I echo your prayers, Arnoldo, thanks for speaking them. Love your pink and kraft card - a lovely combination! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
Sorry to hear Arnoldo that you couldn't find the time for creating and blogging to your heart's content. It's always disappointing when we can't do enough of what we love. All four projects you had time for are wonderful and special for that reason. You are, of course, right about the election. It's sad that it came to this and all of us here in Europe are waiting with bated breath for the results later next month. Fingers crossed America will make the right decision, whatever that might be. Happy WOYWW zsuzsa #24

Has it been that long, my friend? So much is going on in my life right now, too, but I have been following the American election here in Canada. It is a debacle, for sure, but with those prayers God will hear and intercede (I pray) for the betterment of your country - and ours.

Hello Arnoldo, so nice to see you again, I missed you and your inspiring blogposts. Sometimes and often Real Life takes precedence over Blogging Life and we can come back when we can.
I very much like your birthday card to "P" and the fun Halloween card.
Beautiful and touching prayers, let us hope that all will turn out for the best.
Arnoldo you don't need to apologise! I'm not sure how you manage to blog at all with all the work. Great projects and so love the Halloween card. Happy belated woyww, Angela x 20

I'm starting to think I should hide at home and not turn on the TV or radio for a while. :(

Hello there ... Such a heartfelt post and lovely creations ... I only wish that people could see what they are doing to this world and I pray that there is a good outcome both for your election and the fighting and hatred everywhere. Thankfully there are still lots of good people that care ... like yourself ... Amen to your prayers. Thanks so much for sharing at OBW!!

Of course it goes without saying your art is wonderful! I especially love the birthday card :) Wishing you calmer days ahead and more time for art. Blessings!

Such timely prayers, Arnoldo. I think we are all so upset by the ugliness of the campaign on both sides. Your art, as usual, is beautiful. I love that first one, the birthday card.

Yes in deed. Thank you dear friend for the prayers. I too have been sending out love and light to even my family members. People are so angry with this election and it is a bit frightening how the anger spreads to hate so quickly. I have a great grand daughter who is 3yrs. I worry about the world she will be living in as an adult. Keep spreading the love with your beautiful art, it matters.

Maybe if people keep putting love and beauty out in the world, it will gradually overcome the the and fear. All we can do is try.

Lovely artwork, Arnoldo, and no need to apologise for your absence. I too worry about where our world is headed, not only the growing hatred and violence towards other humans but also to the animals and our disregard at how we are killing off our precious environment. It's definitely a concern and I too pray for peace and love.

Have a beautiful week ~ :)
