He Was Born!

Welcome, sweet Billy!  My second grandson was born this week, so my family and I are ecstatic.  Thank you Lord, for this amazing blessing!

In celebration of Billy's birth, I am dedicating this post to him.  Hence, I'm sharing a scrapbook project I started planning since my daughter and son-in-law announced to us that she was pregnant.  I used the We R Memory Keepers Shadow Box Punch Board to create the base for my project.  I also used BearBoss's Purple Promenade, Desecraft's Watercolor Flora, and various other coordinated colors of cardstock; a white foam sheet scrap; Infunly's Animal dies; a generic baby onesie die; Sizzix's Alphanumeric Upper and Lower dies by Tim Holtz; a Marvy Uchida Pacifier punch; a Pentel Brush Sign Pen; and glue.

For the Shadow Box drawer, I used the same cardstock combo and marker; a Fiskars tag punch; a generic alphabet embossing folder; a Sizzix's 1.25" Circle Die by Tim Holtz; an EK Success 1" punch; a photo of my grandson; a Pentel Brush Sign Pen; a foam dot; and glue.

In addition, I created a couple of inclusion pieces featuring other fotos, including some of his sonograms throughout my daughter's pregnancy.
For the Squash Card, I used the We R Memory Keepers Explosion Box Punch Board; a Phomemo Mini Printer; photos; generic teddy bear and toy bunny dies; and some of the tools and art supplies from the other parts to this project.  For the tag, I used the same tools and materials, plus vellum; an Arteza Flat Chisel Nib Pen; and a hole punch.

In closing, I have a photograph I took of a flat white coffee I had at an
Australian restaurant, the morning my grandson was born.  I found my friend Karen's Psalm choice for Word Art Wednesday, was perfect for it.  We must go over what God has done, ponder, and discern, so we can speak of his doings with wisdom.  We were all created in the image of God.  We're also sinners by nature, through things done and left undone.  Hence, we must stop pointing fingers, creating divisions, and being judgemental, as we're increasingly witnessing these days.  Instead, we must focus on sharing the love, grace, and peace that can be found in Christ with our neighbors, regardless of who they may be.  I pray that I can instill this in my grandsons.

Thanks for your visit, and please be sure to leave a comment.  I will reciprocate.  Shalom!
