Art to Me
Greetings! When I work on my artwork, I always thrive to be creative as I express my ideas and feelings in a meaningful way through color, line, shape/form. texture, and space. I like for my artwork to be more than aesthetically pleasing, but to evoke feelings and/or enlighten the viewer.

However, art is also an important part of my well being. It is a process that helps me relax, as well as help me to grow spiritually and intellectually. As per the Merriam-Webster dictionary definition of the word "meditate," it helps me to reflect and reach a "heightened level of spiritual awareness."

Therefore, my artwork may not be perfect or please everyone, but it's certainly an important part of my multifaceted life's journey. Thank you for sharing the journey with me by reading my blog and encouraging me with your thoughtful words. Blessings!

Good morning Arnoldo. I want to wish you and yours a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving. I love reading your blog posts as you describe your creative process of each piece you are introducing us to. You give of yourself in each of your pieces and that shows. I think that is one of the things that I like about your art...it is a reflection of it's creator. :) Thank you for the sweet comments that you leave on my blog. To read your thoughts is important to me. Your pieces this week are so pretty. I love the Asian tag with the sweet little dolls. So cute! And the red and gold definitely gives that Far East feeling. Your Door To Heaven piece is so lovely. Your lettering on "BELIEVE" is very pretty. I need to work more on my lettering...it's not all that good. :) But, I love your piece. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing your art with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteIt's your first that catches my eye - the way you've used the soft background to enhance the softness of the image & how the blue & green fishtail ribbon draws the eye to the image both by its positioning & by echoing the colours in the image - not to mention the fishtail formed by the angel's wings.
ReplyDeleteThere's always something different when I visit - your artwork is distinctive & unlike any other I've seen. It is rare that artwork blogs I mention arouse my husband's curiosity but yours has done on more than one occasion.

That is a beautiful book mark. Excellent work by you.
ReplyDeleteCharming pieces, Arnoldo. The mixed media piece is very striking, and the bookmark makes me want to pick it up and have a good look (if that makes sense).
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit, I appreciate it!
The Door to Heaven is amazing. Just so pretty and eye catching. I had to jot down the name of the dolls you did as I have not heard of them and want to read more about them. My SIL is from Japan and my brother lived there and taught English for years, so I love to learn more about the culture. The tag is so pretty. Happy Thankgiving! Winnie#74
ReplyDeleteStunning in the artistic expression. I so enjoy going over the enlarged pictures and it is all those little dots, distressed edges muted colors and that BOLD believe. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creation with us this week. It is an honor for us to have you visit.( it always encourages me to just take time and enjoy creating )
