Happy Veterans' Day!
O Judge of all nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy. Grant that we may not rest unit all the people of this land share the benefits of true freedom and gladly accept its disciplines. This we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Book of Common Prayer - Page 839
Although the artwork in this post was not inspired by my family, friends and other Americans that served in the military, I do enjoy the freedom to express myself artistically due to their sacrifices. Therefore, I dedicate my post to them on this Veterans' Day Weekend. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful creations to look at! I initially was checking out your patchwork project for our SSS challenge (gorgeous, as usual!) and then I was drawn in to all of your other stunning work as well. I adore your Veteran's Day tribute piece and love the swirling imagery of the text. Truly unique, as great art always is! Thank you for another inspiring read.

ReplyDeleteI love coming to visit for your posts are always very unique. I was thrilled to see you quoting from The Book of Common Prayer - just beautiful & so eloguently expressive. Your Collage Tag is the one that make me chuckle - so true & the number of times I've asked Him to have some of His angels sit on the bonnet of a car……… I love those button wheels & the gems (or sequins??) you used for the headlights.
ReplyDeleteTake care
Paula (PEP)

ReplyDeleteblessings!
Such variety and each one beautifully imagined and composed piece of art. My absolute favourite is the Veteran's Day card for Remembrance Day. I love the way the word Peace flows into the image of the dove in the soft peaceful colours.
ReplyDeleteCute car with its buttons and cheerful passengers looking out of the windows, confident of the presence of their guardian angel. I wonder why the car is called 'Delaware'?
Clever unusual fold on Mike's card which makes me think of a kite, so perhaps he is an 'outdoor man'.
Thank you for your nice comment on my blog - always appreciated.
