A is for Awesome Summer

It's been an awesome summer, thus far, filled with family, trips, and art.  Last weekend we were in Ft. Worth, Texas, where we celebrated my Mother and Mother-in-Law's birthdays.  On the way back, we went by College Station to pack up my two daughters' college apartment, since they'll be moving next month.  Although it was hard work, we did take a break to visit the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum.  I highly recommend it!

So wonderful to hear you've been having a great summer. Especially since you were feeling a bit stressed just before with all of your trips, etc. So happy for you and your wife and pray the rest of your summer is well. Happy creating! :)

Wonderful works! Love the Jolie piece...sounds like a nice visit with family! Britto is one of our favourite artists in this house...I love his strong black lines...we own three of four tea pots, some mugs, and dishes with his art. Beardo has his cologne...which came with a little lunch kit with his design on it! I never tire from looking at it!
Thanks for sharing!

Lovely art work, Arnoldo. Sounds like you are having a wonderful summer with your family. I agree with Kelly in that you make me homesick for the great state of Texas, which was my home for almost 6 years way back when.

Hi Arnoldo, just popping by to visit, via WOYWW.
A lovely selection of techniques on your artwork this time - I especially like the birthday scrapbook-card, it's a really nice idea for a keepsake card. I may try this for my son's 18th birthday!
And I also like the tissue-covered chipboard/washi-tape frame idea, with stamping (?) and drawing on top. It looks very effective.
Life sounds pretty busy for you - it's quite crazy here too! Have a good weekend!

Lovely projects, Arnoldo, and I particularly like your "jolie femme". It sounds as if you've had some nice family times recently. Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad you like my masterboard. There is still enough left to make a few more cards. I am very pleased with how it came out.

Only 5 days till my next chemo treatment. I am pleased that with the reduced dose last time, the effects passed off more quickly than before, and I have felt well enough to do some creative stuff since last week. I have to take advantage of these times and even if I don't have much energy, if I can do a little each day I am more than well pleased! My current projects will have to remain under wraps until the recipient receives them in mid-August but I'm getting the blog posts ready to upload.

I fully intend to enjoy the coming week to the full! The chemo makes me realise just how precious the good days are, and I give thanks for my blessings daily.
