E is for Eunoia
As I was researching topics for this post, I came across the word "eunoia," which is pronounced "u-`noy-ă." Eunoia is a noun and is defined as beautiful thinking or a well mind. I was not familiar with this word, but eunoia is certainly something I thrive for.

I also believe eunoia can be achieved by finding time to immerse in one's passions, such as the visual arts, music, literature, cooking, or exercising.

Last, but not least, I believe eunoia can be achieved by being able to find beauty in our surroundings, no matter how insignificant these may appear. Where or how do you find eunoia?

I was really upset thinking that I may have offended them, but couldn't think why. I'd written nothing offense as far as I could remember. I then thought that perhaps it was because I've moved more into my art for my posts... but I didn't realise it was Goggle's doing.
I think it might have been nice to have had some notice.

Well, I'm happy to learn this new word today. I find eunoia when I'm at peace with God, our creator...and when I'm full instead of hungry LOL!
ReplyDeleteEunoia - a beautiful sounding word that I've never heard before...beautiful thinking or a well mind. It is certainly something to consider day to day. I know that today as I took my dear little Tegan for a walk through the park that I was thinking good thoughts and my mind felt well. It has been a tough year for me, but things are picking up and I have so many good things to look forward to.

ReplyDeleteFirst of all thank you for introducing me to this lovely word (new to me too). Love those Valentine cookies and gifts, and your sugar skull cards are just fabulous!! The Saint Augustine page and scripture are beautiful-and I try and remember that when I feel I am judging. Many of us lost followers because of Google but I don't know much about it or about a cookies notice. Happy Valentine's Day and have a blessed weekend!

ReplyDeleteSuper word, Arnoldo, and wonderful meaning too. I think artists who make happy art must know the meaning of this word even if they didn't know the actual word before.
ReplyDeleteI always like the way you make a styled photo of your art, presenting it with other items, like the Chinese Valentine's cookies with the white buttons. That's clever using crosswords with your scraps piece.

As for the Google cookies notice, I believe it is a European legislation only and Google have put it up automatically on European blogger blogs. You can Google it at "Google cookies alert on blogger".
I believe I lost 3 or 4 followers sadly due to Google Friend Connect. I'm not sure about the Googles Cookies notice, which I see at the top of blogs, so very sorry I can't help with that one. I love your discovery of this beautiful Greek word. Art definitely produces Eunoia for me, as does being with my family; walking in Nature and listening to beautiful music or visiting galleries.
