Jesus' Water Well

Hello!  ¡Hola!  It's been a relatively slow week after my extra busy schedule last week, so I'm grateful.  I will also be on Spring Break next week, so my wife and I will be going up-state to visit our moms and grandsons.  God is good!

Holy Week will be here before you know it, so I've started working on Easter cards early, since that's an extremely busy time for me.  My Happy Easter "Sundae" card design for my grandsons, was inspired by AHS' Sketch 671 by Michelle, AAA Card Challenge #309 1+1 (Spring + Colors), and TMR Challenge 208 - Blue and Brown.  I used a We R Memory Keepers' Bunting Punch; a Spellbinders' Fountain Wishes die set; a Sizzix's Emily Tootle Easter Sentiments thinlits set; generic rabbit and bow dies; Joinfanxin's Spring Scrapbook paper; other assorted papers & cardstock; an Idea-ology Tiny Attacher Stapler; and a marker.

The Easter cards design for my wife's and my parents, was inspired by FMS's Challenge Sketch #726 by Karren, CO's March 2026 Challenge - Green, and EAC's Challenge 595 - Stripes.  I used the We R Memory Keepers Rounded Tag & Hole Reinforcer Punches; a Sizzix's Emily Tootle Easter Sentiments thinlits set; Tim Holtz' Idea-ology Design Tape; Joinfanxin's Spring Scrapbook paper; and other assorted papers.
Next, I have an ATC I designed, inspired by POP Challenge #139 - Use 3 Gems, ATC-ATW Challenge #135 Squares, and TO's Challenge #308 - Birthday Celebration.  I used KSCraft's Piñata die cut; a Spellbinder's Sedona Cut & Emboss folder; Elmer's Mirror Craft Tiles; Mooker's Sunset Rodeo washi tape; a Bomichi's Quote Sticker; a Moriquill ATC card; paper scraps; and a Martha Stewart ink pad.  I'll be attaching this ATC to a birthday card in the future.  (BTW, I want to thank POP for selecting me as January's Most Inspiring!)
Next, I have a hand painted and lettered page, which I am submitting to Art Journal Journey - Spring ForwardWOYW 874/94, and FFO 3/6/2026.  I was inspired by Psalm 95:1, which is one of our Lectionary readings this coming Sunday.  I took full advantage of negative space in the portrait.
These last pictures and video are from the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas, 122nd Council, in Corpus Christi, Texas, which I attended last week.  The first picture is of me with the delegates from the two congregations I serve.  The second is a group picture of our diocesan clergy members.  And the video features me reading the Prayers of The People, by alternating between English and Spanish.  It was a blessed event.

In closing, I have a summary of my sermon for this coming Sunday, which is based on Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well:

We are all Samaritan women.  We have a past - things done and left undone; guilts and regrets; wounds and secrets.  We remain unknown to everyone, except Jesus.  But he's not judging us for going to the worldly wells that can never quench our thirst.  He is far more interested in our future, than in our past.  That's why Jesus offers us the water of forgiveness, redemption, and everlasting life.  Therefore, like the Samaritan woman, we must come to the well of Christ's life, teachings, and unconditional love.  Jesus is the only one that can quench our thirst, but it's our choice.

Thank you for your visit!  ¡Gracias por visitarme!  Shalom!

Hi Arnoldo, pleased you're getting chance to have a little rest before everything gets going again though Easter is such a happy time. Loving the card. I am just getting back to joining in with a few challenges. I used to join in with them lots but family matters took up my time and that was the important thing to concentrate on. Have a great weekend, Angela x
It's always a pleasure to see your posts. That first card is fun. I love the candy eggs on top of the ice cream. And the Coors and textures on the pinata really feel southwestern. And thanks for linking that lovely Bible quote page for Chris' spring challenge at AJJ. Have a super spring break and a good visit with family.
What a wonderful Easter card. It is actually making me hungry for ice cream!

I was also impressed with the card that had the tag. You must own a plethora of dies.

Your Pinata ATC is adorable. You have been very busy. And of course, I love the journal page you created for Chris's theme at AJJ. Thanks for sharing it.

Have a lovely week ahead when you are able to be with your family on spring break.

To celebrating life - I love your artwork and all you do! I hope Easter will bring Spring - it was "tough" to come from summer to these naked trees and cold temps, but! We had sunshine, so that was a "cool treat"! Wishing you a happy and creative weekend.

Beautiful Easter cards! I especially love the one with the ice cream and Easter eggs. The die-cut is simply fantastic, and it looks so delicious! I also think the one with the tag is great. The separation by the strip is ingenious. The colors are fantastic, and the word "Easter" looks beautiful.
Thank you so much for participating in the current Everybody Art Challenge!
