This week, the Card Positioning System team, sponsored by The Twinery, challenged their readers to design a card based on sketch CPS #253. Although I don't have baker's twine from The Twinery, I wanted to design a card incorporating twine. It's the least I could do to honor their graciousness.
I began by searching through my papers to find a print that would lend itself to a circular cut. I found a flower print in a K&Company Handmade Lofty Nest pad that worked perfectly. I used a Fiskars ShapeCutter system to cut the scalloped half moon shape. Then, I cut the bottom block from a green print from the same pad. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create picture corners from the flower print to frame the block. I wrapped the twine in an "x" shape around the block and tied it with a square knot. Next, I found a couple of K&Company Handmade die-cut shapes to use as embellishments. Using my calligraphic skills, I wrote the phrase "My Love" on the tag. Finally, I edged all the pieces with a coffee bean ink pad, arranged them to follow the sketch, and attached them. As a finishing touch, I rounded the upper right hand corner.
I want to dedicate this card to my wife, whose love and support inspire me to create everyday. I hope you like my card and welcome your comments. Godspeed!

I wish I could draw so nicely... they were stamped and coloured with copic markers. The stamps are Wild Rose Studio and they are sold at our store: Scrapemporium.com.br. If you want send me an email with your address and I'll sent to you some stamped images. Hugs
