S is for Saint - WOYWW - PPF

With the continued political, public and other discord in the United States, I believe prayers for peace, love and reconciliation are necessary.  I also find myself praying that the Lord work through the hearts and minds of all our newly elected officials, so that His will be done, not ours.  However, I like to begin by praying to make me a better person, so at this time the one attributed to Saint Francis of Assisi is one of the best.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith
where there is despair, hope
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

  5. A hearttouching post which I so easily can relate to. You and all concerned are in my prayers now to since all the news about the election over there came out...

    But dear friend, we are not able to determine the worlds rotation, things come as they come and we have to deal with it in the best way we all can...

    Wishing you His guidance and shelter from Love. Keep faith!

    Have a wonderful ABC-day / – week

  8. I always enjoy your posts. Your journal page is wonderful! I look forward to a time when I can do heartfelt art jouranling. Right now it is still difficult for me. The photo of the knitted coral reef art had me stumped for a few seconds till I read your description or title. Now that I know what it is supposed to be, I find it quite lovely.
    Thanks for sharing today. #43

  10. That coral reef knitting art is sensational...did you do it? And as for your prayers to the saints - that's all we can do right now as we watch this entire debacle spread its wings and fly. My prayer is that we don't deteriorate back to the 60s with race wars! Even though I'm not American, but Canadian, we also will be affected by the troubles now ongoing in the USA. My prayers are with you all.

  12. Hi Arnoldo, we can but hope. But on a brighter side, I love the knitted sculpture, I used to do stuff like this myself when I was at college but kind of moved off it. Knitting is such a versatile method of shaping objects, love it. Have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 14
