Joy

Greetings!  For today's CPS 5th Anniversary Day 7 celebration, Jen Buck and Sweet N Sassy Stamps challenged their readers to design a card using layout CPS# 242.  As I was going through my papers, I ran across a Pressed Petals Baby Girl paper pack, which includes a sheet with the giraffe.  Since today's layout features a horizontal plane in the bottom portion, I immediately thought of a fence.  I looked through the pack, and found a coordinating striped paper - Bingo!  The rest of the card fell easily into place.  I used my Martha Stewart ribbon edger punch to create a border for the "fence." I laced a strip of organza ribbon through the loops and tied a half bow on the left side.  Then, I created a tag with a scrap from the giraffe paper, my Fiskars Nostalgia corner edgers, and a hole punch.  I wrote the word "Joy" on the tag and used a green flower shaped paper clip, which coordinates with the 2 other flowers, to attach the tag.  I arranged all the elements so that their was a visual flow.

As a Gifted and Talented Specialist in a local elementary school, I usually get invited to baby showers.  Therefore, I know I'll be able to use this card and easily reproduce it if needed.  I'd love to have you join my blog and hear your comments - Thank you!
