My current schedule is overflowing with all sorts of professional and personal responsibilities. There's student testing to be done, School functions to attend, Church commitments to complete, personal development tasks to work on, and the list goes on and on. When my schedule is this full, I can easily feel overwhelmed, stressed, and anxious. Therefore, I need to make a conscious effort to relax and stay focused. I know I'm not the only one in this situation, so I decided to share some thoughts I find helpful.

First, although I always strive to do my best, I need to be aware that perfection is not always plausible. I need to remember Allan Lokos quote, "You cannot control the results, only your actions."

I need to make time to relax, even if it's just to reminisce on special moments. The words in Psalm 46:l0, are a good reminder."Be still, and know that I am God."

Finally, I need to remember Tecumseh's words, "When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself."
I hope you enjoyed my thoughts on dealing with hectic schedules, and would love to hear what you do. Anyway, I also want to thank all my followers, as well as everyone who took the time to leave a comment on my blog post last week. Peace! Paz! Shalom!

I believe it was the theologian Reinhold Neibuhr who was once asked what he thought was the most beautiful prayer. He's said to have answered, "Thank you". I'm sure God doesn't hear that anywhere near enough.
So I say it now:
Thank you, God.
Thank you for joining us at MOO MANIA & MORE

Making Art is like meditation, like a prayer, time for stillness, time to be yourself. I wish you every day a piece of time to relax and to come to yourself. Take care of you and God bless you.

PS I go for a walk or sit on the porch swing and take a deep breath. I either pray or write a list or both!

Happy Weekend to you ^_^
It seems strange to say, but the best thing you can do when life gets hectic is to slow down, become conscious of, and enjoy each moment...
